AKSDC Work-Readiness Programme

The programme includes the following aspects: 

Job-readiness training  Constructing responsive CV’s  Having positive attitudes and values  Applying for jobs internships and learnerships  Job-interviewing skills  Worker’s rights and labour law  Practice implementation and reflection 

Participants are expected to complete tasks and successful candidates are offered a certificate of attendance. The organisation has a database of students who have completed the course as well as CV’s of learners. Companies approach AKSDC for application for jobs, internships usually request CV’s of suitable candidates. AKSDC staff has offered many participants of the work-readiness programme job opportunities in this regard. 

The target market for the Work-Readiness Programme are for the following LSM groups: 

  •  Males and Females 
  •  Must have a valid ID document or birth certificate  
  • Be able to read and write 
  •  Does not have to have a gr12  
  • Ages from 16 to 40+
