What's Happening

We have had several hikes to Cape Point with various schools to expose to nature,  group activities and comraderyship.

To empower young people to serve their country with high and sustained sense of activism.

Create a cadre of community activists, value based leaders and facilitators for social change.

Build the personal capacity and life- skills of the youth to achieve self-reliance.

Develop the knowledge and confidence of the youth to become active and responsible citizens capable of representing their communities at local, nation and internal levels.

The good behaviour was truly a reflection of the ethos the respective schools enshrine and the positive impact of the teachers has had on the learners. Well done to those schools and their teaching staff.

AKSDC was invited guest at the Cape Chamber of Commerce - Business network hosted by the state of the art early childhood development centre funded by the National department of education at the College of Cape Town Crawford Campus.

The purpose of the camp was to empower the participants with leadership skills,  functioning on communities and to understand the a constitution.

The importance of networking with different role players such as DHET and WCCETC.

To have participants express their experiences and to deal with their questions.

To convey clarity of the functioning of the SRC at their various sites.

For the different SCR’s to meet each other and to interact with one another.
